SOME parents at a flat in the Avenues area of Harare claim their children are being abused by being exposed to X-rated scenes, including scantily dressed commercial sex workers, after a fellow tenant turned her apartment into a brothel.
The ugly events, including commercial sex workers who are using it as a base for their daily and nightly clients, have been unfolding at Pinehurst flat.
The parents are claiming one of the tenants, Prudence Ndlovu, turned Flat 32 into a brothel and a massaging parlour.
One of the tenants told H-Metro that commercial sex workers have now flooded the flat.
“We have been complaining against Prudence, and her landlord, for exposing our children to immorality associated with her clients, for a long time.
“We even reported the matter to the police but Prudence is proving to be financially sound to silence all the authorities, including her landlord.
“Police raided them one day and the (commercial sex workers) returned and began to undress even more in public probably they were only fined.
“They are making a killing while damaging our children’s moral values.
“We are appealing for the removal of Prudence, and her team, from Pinehurst.”
Flat owner, Tyronne Bazaya, confirmed the matter and promised to give Prudence a notice to look for alternative accommodation.
“There is no smoke without fire, I received the report and did not believe it at first but now I suspect that something is wrong with my tenant,” said Tyronne.
“If Prudence is conducting such business, it means she is breaching the contract since the place is for residents and not for commercial business.
“I will ask her to look for alternative place,” he said.
