Man cuts off wife’s nose in domestic dispute

A shocking domestic incident has left a woman severely injured after her husband allegedly severed her nose during a confrontation over his girlfriend.

Tatenda Chimutanda, 31, was reportedly caught in a compromising position by his wife, Emily Kasinaubare, 30.

The confrontation escalated into a physical altercation, during which Tatenda is said to have broken a beer bottle and attacked Emily, the mother of their two children, aged 6 and 7. After the assault, he fled the scene.

Emily was rushed to a private hospital in Glen Norah, where she received treatment for her injuries.

In an interview with H-Metro, she revealed the turmoil she has faced in her marriage, citing years of abuse from her husband.

“Tatenda has been cheating on me for some time,” Emily stated.

“I had hoped things would improve for the sake of our children. I chose not to file a police report to protect them, but I’ve decided to leave the marriage to allow him to continue his infidelity and to safeguard my own life.”

Reflecting on the situation, she expressed concerns about her safety, saying, “I feel like he was after my life, and I want to stay away from him. He has been sending messages seeking forgiveness.”

Tatenda has not been available for comment and is reportedly seeking refuge at his sister’s home in Chitungwiza. (H-metro)
