Man dies during prayer

Faith Mission, was praying with his six friends atop Bvopfo Hills in Somerby near Harare.

The hill is estimated to be nine metres high.
Friends retrieved Muchabaiwa’s body which was stuck between the rocks.
He reportedly went to the hills on  Wednesday evening to spend the night praying.

His body was taken to Harare Central Hospital Mortuary.
Collins Nyarupanga, who was with Muchabaiwa, said the group was not aware of the gap between the rocks.
“We arrived in the evening and we did not realise the dangers posed by the rocks,” he said.

Mr David Muchabaiwa, Bonwell’s father, said this was not the first time his son fell while praying.

Harare police provincial spokesperson Inspector James Sabau confirmed the accident.
He urged people to be cautious when they visit such places.
“People must not take chances but choose areas that do not endanger their lives,” he said.
