A MAN, who dumped his wife three weeks ago, died under mysterious circumstances in a bushy area of Torwood on Friday.
Batsirayi Muchanya prepared food for this two kids, aged 7 and 14, and left them in the custody of his neighbour. A passerby saw him lying under a shrub.
“I asked him why he was lying in a bush,” said the passerby.
“He complained about his chest, feeling weak and gave me his address to inform his landlady.
“I went to the house at number C87, as directed, and informed his landlady.”
The landlady rushed to the bushy area, together with her sister, where Batsirai asked them to bring water for him.
“We rushed to the bushy area and, upon getting closer, we heard him pleading for water.
“I returned home fast and brought water and he drank it.
“We left him and went to call for an ambulance.
“Upon returning we found him dead and we informed police,” said the landlady.
Batsirai was said to have been asthmatic.
His body was removed by police and taken to a hospital mortuary.
