A BUDIRIRO man disappeared after raping his landlord’s 16-year-old daughter on Monday.
Admire Kasinamuche was reported to have raped the victim once without protection. Harare provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Luckmore Chakanza, said the victim has been taken to a family support clinic for medical examination.
“Police are yet to arrest the man who raped a girl aged 16 in Budiriro,” said Insp Chakanza.
“On December 28, 2022, at around 9pm, the girl heard a knock at the main door and opened the door when she saw it was the accused. She opened the door for him and he switched off the passage light and dragged the complainant to his room and raped her once without protection.
“After the act, the girl never disclosed the matter to anyone.
“The matter came to light on April 3, 2023, when the girl’s older brother saw some messages in her cellphone from the accused person.
“The girl was threatened by her brother and she narrated her rape ordeal,” said Insp Chakanza.
