BY whatever means necessary!
A Bulawayo man is reportedly staging a bizarre protest against his aged grandmother by allegedly going into her bedroom a?commandoa?, without anything covering his body.
The idea is that Rosina Dube (93) should be ashamed of seeing her grandson Makhosini Ngwenya naked and so vacate their family house.
Dube made the shocking the revelation at the Bulawayo Civil Court where she sought a restraining order against her wayward grandson.
Dube, from Pumula North suburb, said Ngwenyaas weird actions of allegedly storming into her bedroom stark naked while parading his essentials were meant to force her out of her deceased sister Josephine Dubeas house.
Dube, who was in the company of her brother Hezekiah, said her grandsonas actions were emotionally disturbing her.
a?I am seeking protection against my grandson Makhosini Ngwenya. He is in the habit of threatening me despite my advanced age. He is always storming into my bedroom sometimes in the middle of the night stark naked while insulting me saying I should move out of the house.
a?At one time he threatened me saying he was going to burn down the house if I resisted his move. I think he is taking advantage of my advanced age. I am the one who was left in charge of the house by my late sister Josephine and I am surprised that Makhosini is saying the house belongs to him,a? said a teary Dube who was also struggling with speech.
Her brother confided to the presiding magistrate Sheunesu Matova that her aged sisteras health was deteriorating because of the constant verbal and emotional abuse perpetrated on her by Ngwenya.
Ngwenya, in response, denied the accusations saying his uncle (Hezekiah) was the source of all the problems bedevilling their family.
a?It is not true Your Worship. The problem started three months ago when our uncle Hezekiah came to stay with us in Pumula North. I was surprised why he came to stay with us yet he owned two houses in Luveve suburb.
a?The applicant (Rosina Dube) might have been influenced by her brother to make this application so that I can be chased out of the house since he is also after it,a? he said.
Apparently, sensing the source of the dispute the magistrate ordered both parties (Ngwenya and Hezekiah) not to use the applicant as a a?pawna? to settle their disputes.
a?From my observation I can see that the two of you (Ngwenya and Hezekiah) are using the applicant to fight for the control of the house. Instead of taking care of the applicant since she is of advanced age you are busy fighting for the control of the house. Make sure the estate is registered so that there will be an executor in charge of it,a? he sternly charged.
The magistrate in his ruling, however, ordered Ngwenya not to verbally and emotionally abuse his grandmother or threaten her in any way.
