A Mutare man has been sentenced to one month in prison for stealing from the Mutare Magistrates Court while performing
community service.
Simbarashe Nathan Chirara (31) of Sakubva was arraigned before the Mutare Magistrates’ Court facing theft charges.
The court heard that on October 14, 2024, Chirara was performing community service at Mutare Magistrates’ Court, Mutare,
where he stole a surge protector adaptor.
A police officer on duty saw him and notified the informant.
The value of the stolen property was US$20.
