A 42-year-old man has been arrested on allegations of killing his wife following an argument over allegations of infidelity in Triangle, Chiredzi.
Tinei Matonho stabbed his wife Espina Nhambuka with a sharp object following the argument.
National police spokesperson, Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the incident.
“We can confirm that Tinei Matonho was arrested in connection with a case of murder which occurred at a house in Section 19, Triangle, after he stabbed his wife Espina Nhambuka (45) on the elbow following a heated argument over infidelity,” he said.
“The victim was taken to Collin Suanders Hospital for treatment where she succumbed to the injuries on admission.”
In another case, police also arrested Siphilelinkosi Ngwenya (30) in connection with a murder case that occurred at Zinyangeni Business Centre, Nkayi, on August 2, 2024.
In the case, Nkosilamandla Ngwenya (30) was fatally stabbed once with an okapi knife in the stomach following an argument over a stolen cell phone.
The victim was later found lying lifeless in a disused building. Meanwhile, Tenziwashe Ndlovu was arrested in Kwekwe in connection with a case of murder in which Everest Ncube (35) died after he was hit once on the head with a stick over an undisclosed issue at Unity Mine.
