Man loses car to thieves

A MAN lost his motor vehicle to an unidentified car thief while he was buying food at a business centre in Beitbridge.

Mr Mike Munodawafa of Mbedzi area, disembarked from his car, carried the ignition keys but did not lock the doors, only to find it gone.

The incident occurred at around 12 midnight on Thursday at Mashavave Business Centre in Beitbridge.

The stolen vehicle is a blue Toyota Corolla, registration number ACP 0481. A source close to investigations said Mr Munodawafa got out of his car and took the ignition keys but did not lock the doors.

Matabeleland South police spokesperson Inspector Philisani Ndebele confirmed the incident.

He said investigations were underway.

Insp Ndebele appealed to members of the public who may have information that may lead to the arrest of the suspect to contact any nearest police station.
