A MAN on Sunday lost his vehicle while having sex with his girlfriend in Hopley in the car.
Mayor Shumba, 36, was having sex with Memory Magurira in his parked Nissan AD Van when they were pounced upon by three men at around 8pm.
The love birds were parked close to a cemetery.
Harare provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Luckmore Chakanza, confirmed the case.
“Police are investigating a robbery and car theft case in Hopley,” said Insp Chakanza.
“Three accused persons approached the complainant, who was with his girlfriend in a parked car.
“They used an unknown object to smash the driver’s window, opened the door and entered into the vehicle.
“The accused persons forced complainant to the passenger seat and one of them took control of the vehicle.”
He added:
“The accused person drove the vehicle into Hopley graves where they tied both hands and legs of the complainant and his lover using a piece of cloth before assaulting them with open hands.
“The accused persons searched the complainant and stole US$116, a Huaweii Y 9 cellphone and Itel cellphone.
“They pushed the two out of the vehicle and drove towards Masvingo Road in the complainant’s vehicle.
“The total value stolen was US$8 246.”
