A HARARE man has been ordered to pay US$100 as maintenance for his two children.

Amanda Machaka demanded the amount from Stewart Mandeya for the upkeep of their two children aged eight and four.

Stewart offered US$25 per child.

However, Amanda turned down the offer. “The money he is offering will not assist me in anything. He is lying about doing everything for his children.

“I am the one who makes sure there is food on the table and the older one goes to school. As we speak your child is not going to school because l am not able to raise the money for her to go to school.

“He used to visit the children at my mother’s house but ended up insulting them and being stubborn, I suggest he stops going there.”

Magistrate Ayanda Dhlamini granted the application in Amanda’s favour.

She ordered Stewart to pay US$100 as maintenance and pay fees for both children.
