A SUSPECTED serial thief has appeared in court facing six counts of robbery.

Jairos Kanyama ,41, appeared before a Mbare magistrate and was denied bail.

He denies all the allegations.

“I never stole their property, about the Itel phone, we had a deal with Tapiwa but I returned the phone,” said jairos.

Prosecuting Vimbai Makamure heard that Jairos, on January 14, broke Chiratidzo Chikungwa’s door and stole an HP Laptop, four pairs of jeans, a 5kg  gas tank, some tackies, two cans and two shirts.

It is alleged that the accused was seen by Knowledge Chikungwa carrying the property.

Knowledge then advised Chiratidzo.

The State said Jairos promised to bring back the property.

On the second count, Jairos allegedly stole Percy Tigere’s three by 40 litre containers in January.

In the same month, Jairos allegedly took a jacket belonging to his cousin, Sheila Muza, which had US$28, and a Samsung phone, inside.
