Man pleads guilty to US$126k theft charge

A HARARE man has appeared in court facing theft of property, worth US$126 000.

Tinashe Sanyamwera (27) pleaded guilty to unlawful entry charges when he appeared before Harare Magistrate Dennis Mangosi.

The State said on October 31, Sanyamwera hatched a plan to steal from the complainant and gained entry into his office through the ceiling.

Sanyamwera took cash,  two hard drives, two memory cards, five T-shirts, a flask as well as car and office keys.

When he was arrested, he assisted the police to recover a hard drive, memory cards and three T-shirts.

On the same day, Sanyamwera went into a local hotel conference room and stole an Apson projector mounted in the room.
