A 32 – YEAR-OLD suspected lady of the night from Gweru was allegedly raped and brutally killed by a client who had hired her in Mkoba Village Five suburb, police confirmed.
The murder of Ms Precious Tshuma at around 1AM on Tuesday near her lodgings, has left the community dumbfounded.
Her suspected killer is still at large.
Neighbours told the Chronicle that Tshuma was a known commercial sex worker who used to frequent Mkoba Six bars.
Acting Midlands Provincial spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Ethel Mukwende, confirmed the murder but said she was still to get the facts.
The deceased’s body was taken to Gweru Provincial Hospital mortuary for post-mortem.
