A MAN sent his girlfriend a love note before downing a pesticide and killing himself in Mutare.

Thulani Muusha, 23, of Chiminuka Way in Greenside, Mutare, was pronounced dead at Victoria Chitepo Hospital on Friday.

Acting Manicaland police spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Wiseman Chinyoka, confirmed the incident.

“Thulani drank poison and ended his life.

“It was around 11am when he started complaining about having a headache and proceeded to his girlfriend Kimberly Chinyemba’s workplace to collect some keys since they were now staying together.

“Thulani collected the keys and went home where he consumed insecticide after sending a love message to Kimberly.

“Kimberly tried calling her lover but there was no response and she rushed home. She then discovered him lying unconscious on the floor.

“An ambulance was called and rushed him to the hospital where he was pronounced dead,” he said.
