Man sends uncle kaylite full of faeces

In a bizarre case, a 28-year-old Mbare man allegedly sent his uncle a kaylite full of faeces as revenge for ill-treating him when he was young. Ashley Marufu yesterday told the court that he was angry with his uncle, Mr Fanny Marufu (59), because of the way he treated him when he was growing up. Ashley admitted to sending the kaylite full of faeces and damaging the windows of his uncle’s house.

However, he denied charges of attacking Mr Marufu using stones. Ashley appeared before Mbare magistrate Ms Ruth Moyo charged with physical abuse and malicious damage to property.

The matter was remanded to today for ruling.

Prosecutor Mr Fanuel Madanire alleged that sometime in November last year Ashley went to his uncle’s house in Mbare and dumped waste he had collected from neighbours’ rubbish bins.

The court heard that sometime in mid-November, Ashley sent a neighbour’s son to his uncle with a kaylite containing his stool.

On January 28, Ashley allegedly went to his uncle’s house and attacked him with stones before he smashed windows using bricks.

Marufu’s uncle reported the matter to the police leading to his arrest.
