A 26-YEAR-OLD man from Chitungwiza was stabbed to death by the boyfriend of his friend’s former lover.

Troy Chipuriro was stabbed by Anxious Bhonda.

His friend Tinashe Mashindi visited the home of his former partner, 21-year-old Takudzwa Tadiwanashe Bhunu.

Takudzwa and Anxious, 30, were in the room.

Takudzwa refused to open the door.

Tinashe sought assistance from his friends, including Troy and Takudzwa Kafera.

Tinashe armed himself with a knife.

He then broke into the room.

Anxious, a gold panner, wrestled the knife from Tinashe’s grip.

He then used it to stab Troy in the upper right arm and twice in the pelvis.

Troy collapsed in a pool of blood.

Tinashe and Takudzwa fled the scene while Anxious disappeared into the night.

Inspector Luckmore Chakanza, the Harare provincial police spokesperson, confirmed the investigation into the murder case.

“A black knife pouch was found beside the deceased but the accused has not yet been located,” he said.

“The knife is also still missing and we urge anyone with information to come forward.”
