A DEFENCELESS woman is living in fear of her estranged husband who chucked her out of their matrimonial home.

Ruvarashe Nsingo was granted a protection order against Steven Chikova.

The magistrate upheld Ruvarashe’s accusations that he verbally abused and bombarded her with threats.

During the court hearing, Ruvarashe said:

“He is physically and verbally abusive towards me.

“He has evicted me and I moved in with my brother.

“He now follows me to my brother’s house threatening to kill me if I don’t reconcile with him.

“I am no longer interested in him and I want him to stop harassing me.

“I haven’t had peace of mind ever since he started to be abusive towards me.”

In response, Steven said:

“Your worship, I have never threatened to take away her life.

“We have separated, but I still love her.

“I might have harassed her, but it was not intentional. Some of these things I did out of love.”
