A HARARE woman has been granted a protection order against her husband, who has been insulting and abusing her for blocking him from taking a new wife.
Pretty Marehwa told the court that her husband, Cephas Muchingami, has been disturbing her peace.
“He has a new wife that he wants to bring into our home.
“He insults and beats me up, so that I can leave the house then he can bring and stay with his second wife,” she said.
Muchingami was not in court to defend himself, and magistrate Tamara Chibindi granted the protection order in default.
