adminCape Town – More dirty laundry was aired in Parliament yesterday when Deputy Minister in the Presidency Buti Manamela called EFF leader Julius Malema a “boy”.
Manamela criticised Malema for giving details of private conversations in his speech during the State of the Nation address debate in Parliament on Tuesday.
Malema had revealed conversations about Sports Minister Fikile Mbalula’s visit to a mountain during a Xhosa circumcision ritual.
Manamela disputed EFF MP Mbuyiseni Ndlozi’s description, in a News24 interview, of Malema as a brave man.
He said when he and Malema visited Mbalula at the mountain, the EFF leader did not want to go in.
“The honourable leader of the red brigade didn’t want to go in to see Mbalula because he wasn’t prepared to compromise his boyhood and didn’t know what would happen to him at that point in time.
“Now where is the bravery in that?” Manamela questioned.
He accused the EFF leader of gossiping.
“In Limpopo, where I come from, any man who repeats a conversation between two men isn’t brave at all. He’s a coward who thrives on noise and gossip.”- News24.
