FORMER national team and Dynamos striker Terrence Mandaza is enjoying his game at South African Absa Premier Soccer League side Maritzburg United. Mandaza who once played at Rustenburg’s Platinum Stars has impressed management with his high workrate.

Maritzburg team manager Quinton Kettoo told Chronicle Sport, “Ever since Mandaza joined the Durban side he has improved.
“Each single day at practice he shows us one or two tricks and what makes him special is that  he is a team player, even though he is not a prolific goalscorer.”

Kettoo said the Zimbabwean is training very hard to keep his place in the team.  The Maritzburg manager believes the new coach Steve Kompela will be the answer to the team, which of late has been struggling to collect maximum points.

“Kompela is a great coach with huge experience. I believe he will work well with Mandaza, what he has shown us from his first days at training is that he is eager to give each player a chance.”

Mandaza who once played for Township Rollers in Botswana and Mandla Moyo’s Sparrows in Bulawayo, has a three-year contract with the team that ends next year.
