ZIMBABWE Sables coach Cyprian Mandenge says he is happy with his team’s fitness levels after their first day back in training at Prince Edward ahead of the Africa Cup Group A1 match against Namibia next month in Windhoek.

The Sables held their first day of training on Monday evening.

Mandenge told The Herald he was glad to have all the players for their session and was impressed with their fitness levels.

“All the players came for training and none of them picked up an injury. Monday was our first day and usually we just practiced the basics of the game,” said Mandenge.

“It looked just like a continuation from where we left in our last fixtures, the team was looking good because they have been active in their respective clubs.”

The Sables defeated Tunisia 19-8 recently and a win against Namibia will see them lift the Cup.
