Mandizha for FIDE 2025 Chess World Cup

Zimbabwe International Master Farai Mandizha is set to represent Zimbabwe at this year’s edition of the FIDE Chess World Cup.

The 2025 FIDE Chess World Cup is set to be held in New Delhi, India, from October 31 to November 7.

Zimbabwe Chess Federation communications and public relations director, Agba Dozva, confirmed the developments to Zimpapers.

“We are proud to have Farai represent Zimbabwe at such a high-level event. His experience and skill make him the ideal candidate, and we believe he will make the nation proud.

“The chess community eagerly anticipates Mandizha’s performance as he carries Zimbabwe’s flag onto the global chess arena,” said Dozva.

International Master Mandizha is a seasoned competitor who has proudly represented Zimbabwe at multiple Chess Olympiads and is currently based in the USA.
