Manhunt for 13 armed robbers who vanished with US$100K

Police have launched a manhunt for 13 suspected armed robbers behind two separate robberies in Harare and Bulawayo on Tuesday, where victims lost US$100 000 in cash.

In the first incident, eight unidentified suspects armed with pistols stormed a farm along Seke Road before stealing US$30 000 cash, a Toyota Land Cruiser and an Isuzu KB vehicle, said police in a statement.

In Bulawayo, five suspects got away with US$70 000 from a bank in the city centre after pretending to be genuine clients around midday.
