Manhunt for gay activist

A MANHUNT is underway in Bulawayo for a gay man who has been at the forefront of illegal gay demonstrations and gatherings in the city.

Authorities say Thabani Ncube is a fugitive from the law as he was under investigation and was due to appear in court via summons but has since gone into hiding.

Ncube is a member of a gay and lesbians rights group which goes by the name Dubies Gays and Lesbians Rights Fighters.

Ncube attracted the attention of the police because of his daring protests that have seen homophobic members of the public reporting him to the police. He was arrested at a one-demonstration in Bulawayo’s central business district.

Investigations by this paper have proved that Ncube is seen as a champion for gay and lesbian rights among sexual deviants.
