Manhunt for hit-and-run motorist

POLICE have launched a manhunt for a motorist who fled from the scene after he fatally hit a pedestrian.

In a statement on X, police said an unidentified motorist hit a man (41) at the 53km peg along Rusape- Nyanga Road on 24 December 2023 around 8 pm.

“The ZRP is investigating a fatal hit-and-run road traffic accident in which an unidentified motorist knocked down a 41-year-old man at the 53 km peg along Rusape-Nyanga Road on 24/12/23 at around 2000 hours. The victim died on the spot,” reads the statement
