PREVAIL International has invested US$1 million in a state-of-the-art stone crushing plant located in Murambinda, Buhera District, Manicaland Province. This development is seen as a crucial step towards stimulating rural economic growth.
The plant, with a capacity of 120 tons per hour, is expected to support construction, road building, and related industries, according to the Ministry of Industry and Commerce. Numerous downstream businesses are anticipated to benefit from this investment.
Situated less than 2 kilometers from Murambinda Growth Point, the quarry is poised to enhance local infrastructure development and industrial expansion.

“This investment strengthens rural industrialisation, import substitution and employment creation, key pillars for growing Manicaland and Zimbabwe’s economy,” stated an X post from the Ministry of Industry and Commerce.

“Jobs will be created, and retailers and wholesalers of various commodities will enjoy the brisk business brought by their activity.
Beyond quarrying, the company will manufacture cement bricks and drain pipes using quarry dust — adding value, creating jobs, and supporting construction.”
The ministry noted that the project began in 2024, with test runs currently underway ahead of commissioning. PREVAIL International has already provided employment to 34 individuals, with more jobs expected following the official launch.
