“I have just compiled singles that I feel will convince the listeners that I am now grown and have a clear sense of direction. Over the years, I have been mentored by the godfather of urban grooves music Dylan Makalima,” he said.
Mzimba also included Alicious Maskiri, Sanni Makalima, the late TBA among his mentors emphasising that he now sees the bigger picture since the industry is not only about singing but making money out of the music.
“Years of learning about the industry have made me understand that artistes can get more if they strategise. I see myself in the big boy league with the likes of Dr Philip Chiyangwa.
“The only difference is he is making millions and I’m making way less although I’m working on making more,” he said.
Mzimba also bemoaned the lack of the growth of the urban grooves movement pointing out that young artistes are not willing to put their heads together.
