Northern Region Division One Soccer League chairperson Willard Manyengavana says they are still waiting for Lake Harvest to communicate their official position concerning the club’s future.

The side failed to fulfil their fixture against Mushowani Stars on Saturday due to financial challenges.

The development comes after their sponsors withdrew their financial support for the side.

The developments at Lake Harvest may put the whole league into disarray if they fail to continue competing in the league.

Manyengavana said they were aware of the club’s situation but the officials have not officially communicated with the league’s leadership.

“They haven’t written to us. All we are waiting for is their position, whether they are able to play or not.

“As of now we just keep our fingers crossed that they are able to play. We don’t want a disrupted league so we are just hoping and praying that they will play,” said Manyengavana.

The Northern Region League chairman said that Lake Harvest have remained quiet, has made it difficult for the league to make a decision concerning their abandoned match against Mushowani.

However, Lake Harvest were not included on the weekend’s fixtures that were released yesterday.
