FC PLATINUM, have been at the centre of speculation amid reports that championship-winning coach Norman Mapeza was leaving them for better opportunities elsewhere, have dismissed the reports.
The reports claim that Mapeza packed his bags, and removed his property from his home in Zvishavane, and moved to Harare.
He has been linked with a move to newboys Scottland and other clubs, including Simba Bhora.
The league champions are set to lose their coach Tonderai Ndiraya, who is reported to be on the verge of joining Scottland, and will need a replacement for him.
Reports say Ndiraya will be joined by Naison Muchekela at Scottland.
Thulani Sibanda, who was in charge of Bulawayo Chiefs this season, is said to be moving to FC Platinum.
But, FC Platinum have cleared the air to Zimpapers Sports Hub.
“Norman is with us, he possesses a valid contract and the club is united behind the coach.
“The team has demonstrated significant improvement, climbing from fourth to second place, and we are now striving for a league championship in 2025.
“He oversees his technical team, including the selection of its members, with the full backing of the executive team.
“Additionally, (Daniel) Veremu remains his assistant coach.
“Further support for the club will be provided in accordance with the coach’s specified needs, and any updates should there be any will be communicated through our football channels.”
