FC Platinum coach, Norman Mapeza is wary of the threat posed early pacesetters MWOS whom they face on Saturday in a Castle Lager Premier League match at Mandava Stadium.
MWOS occupy pole position on the log standings with seven points from three matches.
And Mapeza feels the Lloyd Mutasa coached side should not be underrated as they are showing signs of being a quality side.
They have so far floored former league champions, Highlanders, drew against Bikita Minerals before dispatching Yadah in their last encounter.
Mapeza opines that it is not a fluke that MWOS are top of the log standings, adding that his side needs to be at their very best on Saturday.
“They have been scoring goals, they played two games at home and one away and they have been scoring,” he told the media in his pre match press conference.
“We are playing a quality side, a very good side….the signs are already there and everybody can see their project, we know the dangers we are going to face on Saturday.”
The former Warriors coach whose side is fifth on the log table has been on record bemoaning the absence of good goalscorers in the country.
The Zvishavane side have managed to score two goals in their three matches so far and Mapeza says they have been using the international break to rectify their goalscoring challenges.
“The break gave us an opportunity to rectify all our mistakes and to also polish our squad and work on those weaknesses which I feel we were having in our previous matches.
The biggest challenge we are having now is not only at FC Platinum, it’s the challenge of scoring goals, we need people who score goals.
Come Saturday, with what we have seen and what we have been doing in training, the goals will come,” he added.
