FORMER Dynamos defence lynchpin Lovemore Mapuya’s FC Crest Value are setting the pace in the Zifa Manicaland Division Two League and are now on the verge of gaining promotion into a more competitive Division One league.
If their dream of getting promoted comes to fruition, it brings to three the number of teams in Division One including Gaza Gunners and FC Three Leaves.
Mapuya took over as FC Crest Value coach early in the season and since then the Chipinge side has shown strong intent to get promoted into Division One.
Formerly known as Clearwater, unbeaten FC Crest Value have been collecting points for fun after winning all but three of the 22 league matches they have played so far in the season.
Under the tutelage of pint- sized Mapuya, FC Crest Value seem to have transformed from mere league punching bags they were over the years and look set to gun for a slot in a more competitive Eastern Region Division One League.
As is always the case with FC Crest Value, repeated efforts to get an interview with either the coach or club official were fruitless at the time of going to press.
Their mobile phones were unreachable.
