Marginal gains for ZSE counters

hand, the industrial index gained 1,86 percent to 2,83 points at 154,65 points, after the main index recorded gains in all five trading sessions last week.
Turnover of the day came in at about US$3,3 million boosted by a special bargain in CBZH involving close to 20 million shares at US10,5c. CBZ traded at US10,6c last Thursday.
The market opened the week firmer last week with the industrial index advancing 0,2 percent on Monday, thanks to gains in blue chip stocks — Delta Corporation and Seed Co.
But the gains were offset by losses in Econet and Hippo.
The mining index followed suit and closed the session 0,79 percent higher on gains in Rio Zim.
Decent volumes were recorded in AICO Africa with 1,8 million shares at US16,10c, Dawn Properties (6,1 million shares at US0,78c) while Delta saw a total of 717 000 shares changing hands at US85c.
The turnover for that session day was solid at US$1,2million.
On Tuesday, turnover fell US$556 773. The value was concentrated in second-tier stocks; Barclays and Edgars that recorded volumes of 4,2 million and 362 000 shares respectively.
The industrial index gained a marginal 0,03 percent to close at 152,09 points while the mining index gained 0,19 percent to close at 88,16 points.
But the gain of US2c in RioZim was offset by the loss of US0,50c in Hwange, although this did not dampen the bullish mood of the mining index.
The market maintained an upward trend on Wednesday, as the industrial index advanced 1,06 percent, mainly due to gains in blue chip stocks Dairibord, Delta, Hippo, Meikles and PPC.
Minimal losses were recorded in AICO, Old Mutual and TSL.
The mining index traded in the red after losing 1,47 percent due to losses in Bindura and reduced bids in Falgold and RioZim.
Decent volumes were recorded in CBZ — 867 000 shares at US81,01c and Econet saw a book over of 200 000 shares at US475c. The turnover for the day was solid at about US$1,4 million.
Thursday’s turnover slipped to US$787 145.
The value was concentrated in Barclays and Innscor.
The industrial index was up 0,23 percent to 154,05 points while the mining index continued with its upward spiral after gaining 0,71 percent.
On Friday, Delta gained US2,47c to US87,50c.
Cafca rose US2c to US55c while TA inched up a cent to US13c.
Innscor gained US0,9c to US76c and DZLH advanced US0,31c to US19,61c.
Star Africa and ZHL gained US0,10c each to US2,2c and US1,1c respectively.
On the downside was Hippo which lost US5c to US115c.
AICO Africa fell US2,4c to US12,1c and Hunyani dropped US0,5c to US5,50c.
