The myth that liberation armies must abandon their liberation ethos, values and principles that are guided by ubuntu and get schooled in a Western alien culture that only respects the law and not justice or humanity is extremely dangerous and catastrophic.

To them, it was the rule of law; the rights of the Whiteman that made them to shoot at black people indiscriminately. This is what Cde Mangwana, Biti, Mwonzora, Mkhosi and Ncube want the Constitution to preserve. Whites’ rights and property.
If one goes through the Draft Constitution one finds it riddled with countless repeats of human rights, rule of law, good governance and democracy rhetoric.
These terms have become so fashionable that even in the medium-term plan (MTP) and the national budgets they have become “the words” to use. MDC formations, NGO and civic organisations cannot write a paragraph without including these words. However, when one critically analyses the structured paragraph he/she is shocked to see how the words are asymmetrically used to buttress the wealth of the Anglo-Saxons.
One wonders whether the faculties of law in Zimbabwe ever look at how painstakingly legal pundits such as Chitepo and Zvobgo went through trying to just get freedom from white supremacists. Is it because the Senior Law Faculty has been left at the mercy of some ex-Rhodies that the MDC formations and most neo-liberal academics view as a human rights advocates? What nonsense is this?
When Navi Pillay (the human rights chief) came to Zimbabwe this writer was baffled by Obert Gutu telling her that Zimbabwe has no legislature that deals with human rights. What the hell did he want this lady to do when he as an MP has not raised that observation with his colleagues in Parliament?
Back to hunhuism /ubuntuism and the SSR, Murove posits that: as an expression human behaviour is inculcated in the individual by society through established traditional institutions over a period of time (African Ethics 1996:83) he further states that “ethical behaviour (ubuntu) is a cultural ethos, a spirituality which is not necessarily better or superior, or for that matter inferior to those of other people, but from which others can learn and improve their understanding of one another”.
Some analysts believe the military or ASI draw their ethical practice from the society and there must be a symbiotic relationship between the military and the people. This analysis is supported by Mao’s theory that says the military and the civilians are like fish and water.
The world over, the SSIs are a functionary of the state President. These are institutions whose occupants are sworn to serve the constitution and the country. It is therefore through these institutions that any state’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and national interests are respected by other states or by predatory states.
The weakening or the separation of security institutions from the water allows the water to be polluted by various actors using various pollutants.
It is therefore a constitutional duty of the security institutions to protect the water from actors who may want to pollute it using various pollutants. The actors could be foreign or intra-state who would be regarded as the same though at times treated differently.
Many of our people, including some politicians and academics, think the British and Americans are the model of professionalism and they do not dabble in politics. This as a fetish idea, yes.
The brutal truth is imperialism is a political science of the West, while socialism or non-alignment is a political science of the rest of the world.
For each to survive it needs a security sector that protects it from pollutants. In the language of the West, anyone who goes against their imperialistic agendas and national interests is labelled a tyranny or dictator.
The West, especially Britain and American, team up to viciously, ruthlessly and unethically fight whoever they call by these words as they did in Iraq, Ivory Coast and are doing in Syria, Iran and Zimbabwe.
Western SSIs talk openly about Al-Qaeda and terrorists to the extent of refusing Assange diplomatic immunity, which he got from Ecuador. So what’s this nonsense about dabbling in politics?
In countries like Zimbabwe, Iran and Syria the West use local neo-liberal politicians such as the MDC formations as their foot soldiers.
The local foot soldiers speak vociferously against their own government as a means of legitimatising the involvement of foreign actors.
These kinds of strategies have been used in Libya and the Scandinavian countries. The main objective is to use many indigenous civic groups to buttress the involvement of Anglo-Saxons.
These strategies are heavily supported by a multiplicity of Western propaganda. The scenario aims at demonising the targeted government and its security institutions resulting in creating falsehoods which vilifies the targeted nation by the international community.
Fellow Zimbabweans, remember how you were made to hate your own citizens for misrule or mismanagement of the economy, itself caused by the illegal economic sanction that the West asymmetrically purported to be targeted. However whether you believed the West on sanctions, were you spared its effects or do you find its effects also targeted?
Did you not also play a party by believing their sanctions were targeted which made these inhuman and murderous Anglo-Saxons continue to make you suffer?
In fighting such a well-crafted Western onslaught, the state needs a leadership with a spine such as President Mugabe’s. The State needs an all-weather security sector such as the current one.
What is now left is for the few MDC supporters in rural and urban areas (if any) to understand that “chikomba hachigone kuudza murume akachibata nemukadzi wake kuti tengera mukadzi wako mbatya dzakadai neperfume yakati kuti aoneke runako rwake kwete, panotorwiwa chete (An adulterous man cannot tell the husband of a woman he was caught in bed with, the kind of clothes and perfume to buy that woman for her to look nice. No, there will be a real fight”.
Thus, the British and Americans never observed the rule of law, good governance, democracy and human rights throughout the slave and colonial era.
The colonised had to fight to get these social tenets of humanity. How on earth do they, on the turn of a coin, after our hard-won Independence, want to be champions of what they failed to practice for centuries?
Why, during the liberation struggle, did they resist giving us these tenets of humanity but rather continued to massacre us at Freedom Camp, Nyadzonya, Chomoio and many other places?
For civic groups and lawyers for human rights, why have you not claimed reparations for the slaughter, enslavement and colonisation of your ancestors? Is it the love of money that you grin from ear to ear when receiving funding that is not inheritable from these murderous and inhuman Anglo-Saxons? When shall you guys learn to champion your own real rights?
It is hoped that Cde Mangwana, Mwonzora, Biti, Ncube, Chinhengo and Madzonga would honestly confess to the nation for what looks like a huge bribe on them to produce the current Draft Constitution which is only good for Crozier, the only ex-Rhodie in the drafting team.
It is hoped that our indigenous drafters would do a serious re-look at the Draft Constitution and come up with a document that would please the spirits of Mbuya Nehanda and King Mzilikazi. Bayethe Ntabezitha!
The danger, fellow Zimbabweans, for riding on an alien foreign culture is that when it backfires it causes calamities.
African security institutions must never be eluded by the whims of those who are only after enriching themselves, make Africans remain labourers; always cry that the fiscus has no money while allowing industries to close and projects, like Chisumbanje ethanol, to falter.
They are only eager to increase tariffs on fuel which Chisumbanje could have reduced. These are people who have failed to control errant banks and retail shops that increase interest rates and basic commodities at will. However, they shout out the loudest when they are involved in the discourse on SSR.
To them SSR means bringing back Selous scouts and picking any professionals from private corporates and make them Commissioners of police. What a shame!
