MEMBERS of internationally renowned marimba music outfit, Pamuzinda, reckon they have remained at the top due to their professionalism.

As they celebrate 33 years of making music, group spokesperson – Vengai Katogodo – believes perseverance and hard work paid off for them.

The group is making waves internationally.

The traditional music group from Highfield, told H-Metro that their global success is an answered prayer.

From drama to traditional music and dance, Pamuzinda has explored various art forms and genres, keeping their audience engaged and entertained.

Katogodo noted it was important to explore the world while you still can.

He said that Pamuzinda’s success story was a testament to the power of determination, passion and hard work.

“Starting from humble beginnings, the group has achieved international recognition and made a name for themselves in the world music industry.

“Their ability to adapt and evolve with changing times and trends has been a key factor in their success.

“The fact that all members have other professional careers proves that one can pursue their passion while still excelling in other areas of life.

“Pamuzinda serves as an inspiration to young people in the ghetto and beyond, showing that with dedication and hard work, anything is possible,” he said.

As Pamuzinda marks over the three decades in the game, they serve as a reminder that success is not just about achieving fame and fortune.

But it’s also about staying true to oneself, giving back to the community and inspiring others to follow their dreams.

The group has participated in a number of cultural exchange programmes, which has enhanced their profiles.

Adored by many abroad, the group has vowed to continue raising the Zimbabweans music flag through marimba music.
