Marondera ‘favoured’ today

Rudhaka Stadium will be a hive of activity with a variety of music on offer.
As expected, man of the moment Suluman will send fans into a frenzy with his “Batai Munhi” craze that has engulfed the nation.

The dendera heir has been on top of his game ever since releasing his album “Syllabus” late last year. He has grown to be one of the most sought-after musicians in the country. The inclusion of Jah Prayzah makes the line-up more interesting since he is one of the crowd favourites.

The “Sisiriya” hitmaker is also basking in the success of his latest album “Tsviriyo” that was released in March this year. The album has also become anthemic at watering holes and public transport. However, it is his duet with Suluman on the song “Sean Timba, that is expected to thrill the fans today.

Nicholas Zakaria will stabilise the gig with his vast experience. The fiery left-handed guitarist has been in the game for the past two decades and his inclusion is a plus for the fans.

From the time he released “Mabvi Nemagokora” in the 1990s to recent times when he released songs like “Mabasa”, Zakaria has gained the respect of many music fans with the way he handles his private life and avoids controversy.

Mhere has been enjoying a steady rise on the music ladder since he burst on the mainstream music scene. The gospel artiste will provide the gospel touch with his chart-topping hits like “Favour”, “Vimba NaJehovah” and “Areka”.

One of the show organisers, Erasmus Simba Chatima, said everything was on course for the music festival.
“As part of the community we believe we should not sit and watch while our people starve but we should be able to assist them in every way we can. It is within that spirit that we call on other well-wishers to assist the needy,” he said.
