The artist has plans to move to Zimbabwe where he intends to work with partners and charities who are already doing good works creating awareness.

“Mental health is treated as a taboo within our society and its time we start to look closely at what we been doing, and change.

“Zimbabwe as a country is working hard to move forward therefore it’s vital that issues such as mental health are not left behind.

“Art such as comedy and music has a great role to play in creating awareness therefore, I urge fellow artists to include mental health in their music and art,” he said.

Masawi who is currently single says he suffered mental health after breakdown of his marriage.

“As a man I did not know where to get the support needed or how to open up around these matter. “Within my art I try my best to tackle issues such as domestic violence and child poverty.

“I am now focusing on finding a good wife.

“It’s a sad situation that our country finds itself in but I believe art is a good start in changing the narrative.”

The singer recently realised a song called Ndangariro which is about grief and loss.

“Within the song you can hear from start to finish the pain and confusion that grief can bring.
