A MARRIED man stunned a Harare court yesterday as he explained why he insists on using condoms whenever he makes love to his wife.
Joel Kashejera claimed he wanted to keep his sperm because he believes his wife uses it for ritual purposes.
He was responding to claims from his wife, Moreblessing Kaseke, who dragged him to the Harare Civil Court alleging he regularly attacks her, including on some occasions when he used a screwdriver.
“I am applying for protection against my husband, he slaps and insults me. He refuses to have sex with me without protection.”
She was granted a protection order but it was Kashejera’s claims which captured the attention of those who were following the court proceedings.
He claimed Kaseke was in the habit of wiping off his semen, whenever they make love, and keeping part of it under their bed in their bedroom.
He claims this was part of her rituals.
“After sex, my wife is in the habit of using a piece of cloth to wipe off my semen.
“She places the cloth under the bed, mixes it with some juju and I am now scared that she is using it for rituals.”
The magistrate granted Kaseke a protection order.
