DYNAMOS chairman, Moses Maunganidze, has dismissed rumours suggesting that they had opted against allocating the club’s new coach, Herbert Maruwa, and skipper, Frank Makarati, the Sakunda issued cars.
Last season, Sakunda boss, Kuda Tagwirei, handed two cars each to Dynamos and Highlanders for exclusive use by the coaches and captains.
Coach, Tonderai Ndiraya and Partson Jaure, were the first to have a feel of the donated cars, but they surrendered the vehicles after leaving the club.
It means Maruwa and Makarati are now entitled to the privilege.
However, word doing the rounds says the team’s leadership plans not to issue the vehicles to the two, but Maunganidze said there was no truth to the rumour.
“We haven’t considered doing that and that is not going to happen. The club will extend the benefit to the offices of the head coach and captain accordingly in line with the agreement between our sponsor and the club. There will be no variation to that arrangement,” said Maunganidze.
He said the duo will get their cars next month.
If that happens, Maruwa will get the Ford Everest, with Makarati getting the Ford Ranger twin-cab.
This transition also transpired at Bosso when Mandla Mpofu was relieved of his duty last season.
The car is now being used by his successor, Baltermar Brito.
Last season when Ndiraya was suspended midway through the season, it was reported that he had refused to hand over the car to the club’s leadership.
