BLACK Rhinos coach Herbert Maruwa has hailed his players for their dedication to the club’s cause.
He says they are role model athletes, both in training and on match days.
He also believes the arrival of veteran defender, Dennis Dauda, has also strengthened the side.
Speaking to H-Metro, Maruwa said hardwork and commitment was paying off for them.
“We have managed to stay up on the log table and it’s due to teamwork,” he said.
“I always give credit to the boys as they are pushing hard at training and on match days.
“There is a lot of fighting spirit in the team and I am impressed.
“We need to keep on improving the team and make sure we don’t lose focus up to the end of the season.”
He saluted his troops for their desire to finish the season in style.
“We need to keep in touch with the leading teams, I am happy most of the clubs up there are dropping points at this crucial stage of the season.
“We thrive on team work and every player is playing his role.
“The arrival of Dennis Dauda has brought lots of experience into the team,” he said.
The Chauya Chipembere coach believes a point against Yadah last weekend was important to their cause.
They face Triangle at Gibbo.
Rhinos lost the reverse fixture 1-2.
“When we played Yadah, we got a draw, it was not an easy game, since Yadah is a good side.
“They are difficult to play.
“Now, we are facing Triangle in the Lowveld and I am happy we are going there in this type of weather, it’s not hot,so it’s going to be a plus for us,” he said.
