Mash East commemorates Chiefs Day

Hundreds of people gathered at Chief Nyajina’s homestead in Uzumba on Saturday to commemorate Mashonaland East Chiefs Day. The day is annually organised by the Zimbabwe National Army to engage traditional leaders in various developmental aspects.

ZNA Major General Emmanuel Matatu said the relationship between the uniformed forces and traditional leadership throughout the country dates back to the liberation struggle days.
