rejuvenate the party.
In an interview last week, provincial political commissar, Cde Phillip Muguti, said although the process was going on well, there were still areas that needed polishing.
“We did the first phase of the restructuring where we were able to identify districts and branches in most parts of the province, but we now have to re-do the exercise in some areas so that we reach the cell level,” Mr Muguti said.
The restructuring of the cells had been hampered by distances to the district centres, which saw some people being forced to travel very long distances, up to 35 kilometres. Cde Muguti said the party would reach out to the people so that all its members at the cell level were captured in accordance with the constitution.
