Walter Nyamukondiwa-Mashonaland West Bureau Chief

Provincial heads in Mashonaland West province are meeting to fine-tune strategies to improve service delivery, operations of Government departments and it’s agencies.

This comes amid positive growth in agriculture, mining and social services provision.

In her remarks to the provincial heads of department, Mashonaland West Provincial Affairs and Devolution Minister Marian Chombo commended the province for achieving major milestones in the year.

“Colleagues, these milestones are not just events — they are a reflection of the kind of province we are building: one defined by collaboration, excellence in service delivery, and a shared vision for sustainable development,” she said.

“Let us take pride in what we have achieved together, and use this momentum to address the tasks ahead with renewed energy and focus.”

She implored all departments to maintain high standards of coordination, planning, and execution.

The province successfully hosted the delegation from Kavango East Region in Namibia and held the Mashonaland West Provincial Agricultural Show.

It also held well-attended and organised Heroes and Defence Forces Day celebrations. Minister Chombo commended the Zimbabwe National Army and partners for sprucing up and upgrading the Provincial Heroes’ Acre.

A perimeter fence, guardroom, toilets, and flagpoles have been constructed under the first phase of the project.
