Mashonaland Central Province has received three ambulances and five chemistry analysers from the Ministry of Health and Child Care as the Government makes significant investments to improve the quality of healthcare.
A chemistry analyser is a medical device used to perform chemical analyses of blood and to assess kidney and liver functions.

All eight districts in the province are set to receive an ambulance each, with Mazowe, Centenary, and Mt Darwin being the outstanding districts.
Acting Provincial Medical Director Dr Helen Kabaya said the ambulances will be allocated to Bindura Hospital, Chimhanda Hospital, and Shamva Hospital.
Meanwhile, the chemistry analysers will be distributed to Mt Darwin, Mbire, Chimhanda, and Mary Mount Hospitals.
The arrival of the ambulances is timely, given the recent increase in fatal road accidents in the province.

Each ambulance is equipped with the latest medical technology and manned by highly trained personnel to ensure that patients receive prompt and effective emergency care.
Mashonaland Central Provincial Affairs and Devolution Minister Christopher Magomo said the Second Republic is strengthening the capacity of laboratories to conduct critical tests for the timely management of patients.
He emphasised that the chemistry analysers complement the existing laboratory capabilities in the province.

“The Government is expanding and upscaling health service delivery to ensure that no one and no place is left behind,” he said.
“Several hospitals and clinics are now equipped with solar systems and boreholes to provide standard healthcare services.”
The District Development Coordinator for Bindura District, Mr Richard Chipfuva, said that Vision 2030 is becoming a reality, highlighting President Mnangagwa’s commitment to achieving this goal.
He reiterated that the Second Republic is dedicated to leave no place and no one behind.
