Mashonaland West discusses investment

Government departments, ministries, investors and the private sector working in various sectors are attending the Mashonaland West Investor Aftercare Symposium to review the province’s ease of doing business.
The symposium is running under the theme ‘Strengthening the Ease of Doing Business for Expansion and Reinvestment Towards Industrialisation’.

Provincial Affairs and Devolution Minister Marian Chombo’s office and Alinial Chartered Accountants organised the event.

Minister Chombo is headlining the symposium, which is part of the province’s drive to attract investments and grow its Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

In her opening remarks, Minister Chombo said local authorities should step up efforts to promote investments.

“President Mnangagwa is working on promoting investments across the country and as a province, we need to play our part,” she said.

Alinial Chartered Accountants business development representative, Mr Last Matemba said the symposium is a follow-up to an investment conference held in 2023.
