Young hip-hop artiste “Trysongz”, real name Trymore Matumbu, has released his first mixtape that features his mentor, popular urban groover Maskiri. The 11-track mixtape titled “Ressurrection” comes after the Waterfalls-based 20-year-old artiste’s successful tour of South Africa where he performed with other Zimbabwean artistes who included Maskiri, Yoz and Tobbie.

“Last year in December we went for a series of shows at JOZI Club in South Africa for the ‘GT-Eyes and Roses Concert’.

“I perfomed at the 2014 Miss Schools and have done a number of live shows across Zimbabwe including in Kwekwe and Gweru,” he said.

Trysongz says he was inspired by Maskiri and Tobbie to venture into hip-hop music and he has made a number of collaborations with them.

“I started my musical career back in 2012 after I got inspired by Maskiri and Tobbie.

“I have even made a couple of tracks with them and these include ‘Tende’ and ‘Hope’ which I recorded with Maskiri and ‘Unondiitira’ which features Tobbie and Yoz.

The youthful artiste also boasts an eight-track album titled “Imwe Definition YeUrban Gwavha” which he released in 2013 when he was only 18 years old and still at high school.

He is also set to release his first video of the track “Dai Waramba Inini”,which is also on the mixtape, in April.

“To all Zimbabwean hip-hop lovers, watch out for my video sometime in April 2015 for the track ‘Dai Waramba Inini’, which I did with Taflow,” he said.
