Maskiri remains optimistic

URBAN grooves musician, Alishias “Maskiri” Musimbe, is positive that his upcoming Extended Play (EP) will help him tap into new markets in the music industry.

Titled Motswako, the EP is a fusion of hip hop awith a mixture of local languages and is set to be released on Thursday.

The EP consist of six tracks featuring local artists Tererai Mugwadi, Lamont Chitepo, Shyne, JBoss and Dswag.

In an interview with H-Metro, Maskiri said the EP was inspired by his daily life and those of ordinary people

“I’m always inspired by my daily life and also those of ordinary people, most of my songs are real life stories.

“My main motivation is art; I just want people to embrace my art through my upcoming EP.

“I had a wonderful time when I did the Pengaudzoke EP with Shugeta, the feedback has been great so far,” he said.
