“The response I got after working with various artistes on the single Wenera was phenomenal.
“This made me realise that if one sings songs that are ‘clean’ they can still be as entertaining,” he said.
Maskiri also said he will be engaging local artistes and producers in his project.
“My new look commands new things in every sense.
“There are many artistes who can make a difference in my new album titled Recovery so I intend to work with other artistes on this project,” he said.

“I am looking forward to working with Maskiri and will do the best we can to make such an initiative a success,” POY said.
Maskiri also said he is working with a Bulawayo-based dancehall producer and singer Centre Party on his new project.

The musician also said some of the tracks that will be on the album include Masasi Ekurwadzisa, Anogara Mushe and Regai Ndikusekeseyi.
Music followers also called on Zimbabwean artistes to desist from using explicit lyrics in their music.
“If artistes focused more on producing music with less explicit content, their music will go a long way because it can appeal to any age group,” said Chiedza Magombedze.
