LUKE Masomere has vowed to beat Chicken Inn in a BancABC Cup quarter-final to be played at Mandava Stadium in Zvishavane on Friday.
“Chicken Inn is a very good team with talented players in every department but it will be difficult for them to beat me again on Friday because I do not normally lose to twice to the same team in one week.
“I have two strikers after losing Farai (Mususunye) through injury and he is in a plaster. I have been forced to play Smart (Muchabayiwa) my defender as a striker because of limited resources. I am going to do my best with what is at my disposal and I am going to assess the injury to Tafadzwa (Mombeshora) tomorrow (today),” said the Shabanie Mine gaffer.

Shabanie lost their league match 1-2 at Maglas Stadium on Sunday after losing Mombeshora through injury and besides bombarding the Chicken Inn goal they could not place the ball past Njabulo Nyoni.

In March the Gamecocks beat Caps United in the NetOne Charity Shield final to lift their first ever silverware since gaining promotion into the PSL.
Since that day Mandava has been their favourite hunting ground. The Bulawayo team has never lost a match in Zvishavane against FC Platinum or Shabanie Mine since 2011.

“Cup games are tough but we do not expect to lose at our favourite stadium (Mandava),”  said Mandla Mpofu.
