THOUSANDS of congregants and Zanu PF supporters thronged Glen Norah B over the weekend for the official launch of Masowe for Economic Development (Masowe4ED).

The organisation is a faith-based coalition under the National Multi-Faith Economic Dialogue (NAMFED), pledging solidarity with President Mnangagwa and the ruling ZANU-PF’s economic roadmap.

ZANU PF Harare Province chairman Cde Goodwills Masimirembwa emphasised commitment to Resolution 1, saying faith leaders should set aside doctrinal differences in pursuit of national unity and economic transformation.

“We stand firmly committed to Resolution 1 as a guiding pillar for our collective progress,” said Cde Masimirembwa.

“It is vital that faith leaders set aside doctrinal differences and unite in purpose.”

Cde Masimirembwa emphasised that collective action is essential for driving Zimbabwe’s economic transformation.

“Only through such unity can we achieve the national economic transformation that Zimbabwe urgently needs.”

Masowe4ED, together with other Zanu PF affiliates under NAMFED, staged a patriotic march through Glen Norah as a demonstration of support for President Emmerson Mnangagwa and Vision2030.

NAMFED chief convener Obey Mapuranga said the affiliates have pledged their total commitment to the President’s leadership and vision through to 2030.

“We had anticipated a turnout of about 20 000, but the 42 000 who came was a remarkable surprise,” he said.

“This overwhelming presence is a clear showcase of patriotism and unity among our people.”

Masowe4ED chairperson Cde Onwell Vengesa (Madzibaba Terbnage) said the affiliate is ready to engage in Government programmes which ensure national development.

“We are proceeding to get our congregants Zanu PF membership cards. We are implementing programmes that support the National Development Strategy (NDS2) together with NAMFED,” he said.
